Wednesday, October 17th Evening

Welcome Reception-
This evening we were invited to the main ballroom of the Tokyo Prince Hotel for a welcome ceremony.
It was a lovely site. There was sushi galore, beautiful music, and inspirational speeches. (I hope to get a portion of the speech up soon, but it was filmed vertical, but is showing horizontal and I can not figure out how to rotate it. Once again technology!) Below is a short clip of the koto harp and traditional wooden flute.

Stella,

I am throughly enjoying your blog. I just figured out that there is sound, so now I am all ready for the next entry. I am happy that things are going well. We are having huge fires here and school is closed until Mon. so I will look forward to your next blog entry. always, Sharon

Everything in Japan, it always felt like, comes with a big formal ceremony with lots of speeches - enjoy them! :)
